Resume

My work within higher education reflects an earnest desire to serve and instruct students both in and outside of the classroom. I seek to challenge the compartmentalization of learning suggested by the division of student and academic affairs by working within and across both realms as a teacher and student affairs professional. In so doing, I hope to facilitate a synergistic relationship between students’ in- and out-
of-class experiences, thereby fostering a more holistic approach to student learning.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Academic success and support initiatives

  • College advising

  • Postsecondary teaching

  • Student leadership and professional development

  • Equity and inclusion efforts for traditionally underrepresented and underserved student populations

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.”
